Float equipment serves as the backbone of casing equipment used during primary cementing operations. Key functions include:
- Guiding the casing to total depth
- Preventing contaminated mud from entering the casing
- Providing a landing point for casing wiper plugs
- Reinforcing the lower end of the casing string
- Ensuring accurate cement slurry displacement
